BLITZ - Autumn/Winter 2017
Autumn/Winter 2017, sees the return of Parisian rough-riding motorcycle brothers, Fred Jourden and Hugo Jezegabel.
Influenced by times gone by, BLITZ love digging in the past, inspired by iconic imagery from around the world.
Among those images, the troubled times in the United States during the Vietnam war is a great source of inspiration for this collection, opting for a Japanese Tiger Camo jacket, reminiscent of the outfit of Captain Willard in Apocalypse Now.
Fighting for peace while wearing a military garment might look contradictory, but the fact that the Vietnam veterans played an important role in ending the conflict by throwing their military honours at the gates of the White House in the early 70's, shows that it is not.
The four-piece "F*CK YEAH! EDWIN x BLITZ" capsule collection concentrates on the timeless themes and relationship between classic militaria and iconic denim styling.
The EDWIN Union workwear jacket has been remastered in a khaki, Japanese Tiger Camouflage fabric and features the Blitz signature slogan "Louder Than Bombs" across the back in a heavy golden chain-stitch.
Blitz favourite 5 pocket denim pant and EDWIN icon, the ED-71, has also been revised and treated with the same Japanese Tiger Camo, used for the internal pocket bags and waistband detailing, along with the "F*CK YEAH! EDWIN x BLITZ" embroidery sign-off on the inside of the waistband.
In strictly limited numbers, the ED-71 is exclusively available in an unwashed, 14oz Japanese red listed selvage denim.
The collection is completed with an oversized Raglan Crew Sweat and heavyweight Ringer Crew Tee, both given the seasonal 'F*CK YEAH!' treatment, using a mix of print and embroidery.
