MADE IN JAPAN

Regular as clockwork, the “Made in Japan” collection, returns for Spring/Summer 2020, crafted from exclusive fabrics sourced from the world-famous Nihon Menpu and Kaihara denim mills, in Okayama, Japan.

The latest offering from Japan showcases a jersey programme for the very first time, introducing wardrobe staples including a Crew Neck Sweat, Raglan Sleeve Hood and a Classic T-Shirt, all produced in Japan using premium heavyweight fabrics.

To complement the new arrivals, the usual suspects remain, shining a light on a variety of the finest fabrics the country has to offer including 14oz Open Weave Red x White Selvage, 13.5oz Dark Pure Indigo Rainbow Selvage, 14oz Brown Cotton, Rainbow Selvage, 12.5oz Blue Stretch Denim, Green x White Selvage and 12oz Black x Black Stretch Denim, Green x White Selvage.

The concise denim offering utilises all of these fabrics to produce three distinct fits of pant (Loose Straight, Regular Tapered and Slim Tapered) and a time-honoured denim jacket, all produced, washed and finished at our very own factory in Japan.

To launch the new collection, we kindly asked the SABUKARU team to create an editorial, shot by Nicolas “Yuthanan” Chalmeau, to celebrate EDWIN’s renowned approach towards the craft of denim making, shooting on location in Tokyo, showing the connection between the tradition of Japanese workmanship and the use of denim in modern city life.

The Made in Japan collection is now available in EDWIN Stores in London, Berlin, Paris, Milan, Tokyo and Osaka as well as select stockists around the World and online.
