Metaphore Collectif is a family, a group of friends united by the common desire to dust off and revitalise the Marseille electronic music scene. To show our support during these uncertain times in the music industry, EDWIN have created a limited edition Tee to ensure they can continue to do what they do best.
The collective, born 10 years ago, has never ceased to explore the opportunities presented to them in Marseille including organising free-parties, club nights, local artist development, residencies on various radio stations, spearheading electronic counter-culture and even opening their own venue: Le Meta.
Just as Metaphore Collectif were ready to blow out their 10th candle and go on tour, March 2020 arrived and the world stood still. The stress mounted as it was suddenly impossible to organise parties, be together and bring audiences together on the sweaty dancefloor of the "blue door" hangar.
During this time, Metaphore, a 100% independent association, sought some much-needed help from friends and followers who have come to see them play over the past four years. With an overwhelming response, they set up a crowdfunding scheme to help them keep the place they call home, pay for the untimely purchase of a new sound system, and fund the production of 64 tracks titled "Ici Danse Le Peuple Oublié" allowing the collective to keep their head above water for unchartered times ahead.
EDWIN are showing their solidarity for the Marseille crew by releasing a limited Edition Tee with artwork by graphic designer Paul Bizkargüenaga.
