EDWIN x Hunting Lodge

Hunting Lodge is a design-led concept store, based in Oslo, Norway with a focus on contemporary premium brands. Opened in 2006, they have a reputation for presenting and introducing new and interesting brands and products to the Norwegian market. A destination store which has been featured in many articles ranging from Hypebeast to Monocle magazine.

Together with EDWIN, they threw a small in-store release party for the release of their limited edition Tee based on the Golden Cockroach.

Nestled deep in the winding back streets of Kabukichō, Tokyo, the regrettably named Golden Cockroach is a mythical Izakaya known for their questionable Shabu Shabu special, and lukewarm beers! Known only to those who stray far from the bustling neon lights and towering skyscrapers, this dimly lit venue has been a last resort for locals and travellers alike for decades.

However, this highly adaptable creature serves as a testament to resilience and versatility, offering inspiration on how we can navigate and thrive in modern times.

Enhancing its notorious allure, the Golden Cockroach also offers a range of unofficial merchandise that has gained popularity among misfits and wanderers alike, effectively diversifying its dwindling revenue streams.

For those unable to visit Tokyo, the Oslo-based retailer Hunting Lodge has "acquired" an exclusive selection of the Golden Cockroach’s rare collaboration with EDWIN including an Oversized Tee and Tote Bag bringing the institution to a global audience.
