Last month we joined forces with long-time EDWIN Music Channel Collaborator Ruf Dug to support his Rainy Heart project, an alcohol-free pop-up Listening Bar in Manchester.
The Manchester-based producer, DJ, label boss, NTS radio host, record store owner, computer game freak and vinyl digger adds yet another topic to his extensive list.
Founded together with pop-up bar specialist Dan Hope, Rainy Heart is a listening bar that aims to create a one-of-a-kind experience for Manchester-based music lovers.
Ruf Dug: “I have this lovely sound system and I’ve harboured a dream of having my own listening bar for a long time and I mentioned this casually in the playground to one of the other school dads.”
Located in a former chip shop, the Rainy Heart listening bar was open for just a few months in Stretford Mall, just up from Stretford Canteen, and across its short lifespan, it featured multiple local DJs from around the Stretford area.
Their last night was led by a performance from the ambient/psyche producer AHRKH, live in the bar.
To support the project, EDWIN provided Rainy Heart with an exclusive Limited Edition Tee, matching tote bag and a selvedge denim apron for the staff, adorned with the now iconic Rainy Heart branding designed by Pomona Studio.
