TEIDE

Long before streetwear became an industry, Double Goose was already part of New York's hip-hop uniform.

Emerging from the city's early 1980s music scene, the American outerwear label became closely associated with artists including Run-DMC, LL Cool J and Rakim. Its oversized leather down jackets, distinctive quilting, and unmistakable branding became part of a generation's visual language.

For Autumn/Winter 2026, EDWIN and Double Goose reunite for their second collaboration, this time inviting London-based tattoo artist TEIDE to bring his own interpretation to one of the label's most recognisable silhouettes.

A co-founder of Red Point Tattoo, TEIDE has spent years developing his own interpretation of traditional tattooing, combining familiar imagery with psychedelic influences, surreal compositions and an unmistakable sense of humour. Having previously worked with EDWIN on everything from graphic T-shirts to embroidered jackets and custom screen-printed pieces for Liberty London, this marks the fourth chapter in an ongoing creative relationship.

The resulting EDWIN x Double Goose V-Bomber Jacket stays close to its origins, with one particularly noticeable difference. Finished in a vivid sky blue, the jacket brings an unexpected colour to the familiar Double Goose silhouette. Crafted from soft lambskin leather with a 90/10 goose down filling, it retains the signature V-quilting, original yellow branding and detachable shearling collar that define the brand's aesthetic.

The unexpected details continue on the inside. TEIDE's artwork covers the lining in a repeating leopard print, while a specially developed claw-shaped zip pull adds another unusual element to the jacket's construction.  A familiar piece of American outerwear with something a little less traditional hiding beneath the surface.

Having last worked together in 2024, we caught up with TEIDE to discuss his recent travels between London and the US, his experiments with painting on glass and the process behind the latest collaboration.

Q. It’s been a couple of years since we last worked together in 2024. What’s been happening in the world of TEIDE since then?

A. A lot of tattooing, and also trying to spend more time doing other things with my art. I always like to have different projects going on, not only tattoos. I have been working on paintings and other things, and of course still doing my work at Red Point.

Q.  You’ve been travelling quite a bit recently, including guest spots at Kings Avenue in New York and Tattoo Paradise in Washington DC. What keeps drawing you back to the US? Do you find the tattoo culture there different from London?

A. Travelling has always been a very important part of my work… I'm lucky enough to be able to work in the USA in some incredible studios alongside amazingly talented artists and further develop my work with great clients and very good friends.

Q. You’ve been tattooing for almost two decades now. Has your approach to tattooing changed much over that time, or are you still chasing the same things that got you interested in it in the first place?

A. I think the idea is still the same; I like traditional tattooing, but I always want to do something different with it. After so many years, you learn a lot, but you also need to keep enjoying what you do and not repeat yourself all the time.

Q. Your work has always existed somewhere between traditional tattooing and something a little stranger. Where do you find inspiration these days? Are there particular artists, places or things outside tattooing that have been influencing your work?

A. I really enjoy looking at illustration, textures, and painting, and then trying to incorporate it into tattoos. Sometimes it's risky, but it works. I always try to do new things without losing a traditional tattoo aesthetic with thick lines and solid colours.

Q. We’ve noticed you’ve been spending more time painting on glass. How did that come about? What interests you about working with glass rather than paper, canvas or skin?

A. Painting on glass is a new adventure, another way to showcase my work in a different medium and challenge myself to develop new skills… It's definitely working, and my clients are having a very positive reaction.

Q. EDWIN and Double Goose have worked together before, and this time we’ve invited you into the mix. Double Goose has a long history connected to New York’s early hip-hop scene. Was that a world you were familiar with growing up, and what were your first thoughts when we approached you about the jacket?

A. It definitely brought back good memories of my past with graffiti and the world of hip hop… plus, the power of developing my inner self was something that really motivated me.

Q. We’ve worked together on quite a few projects over the years, from graphic T-shirts and embroidered jackets to custom screen-printed pieces for Liberty in London. Looking back, do any of those collaborations stand out to you?

A. I have good memories of all these projects. I like to see my drawings in different things, not only on the skin. It’s always interesting to work with people who understand what you do and give you freedom to make something your own. Seeing the Liberty collaboration with my mother was definitely something very special.

Q. The jacket features your repeating leopard artwork across the lining. Where did the idea come from, and how did you approach creating something that would work as a continuous pattern rather than a standalone illustration?

A. I work with a lot of patterns in my tattoo designs, so it was something that I knew would work well and felt very comfortable creating.

Q. There’s also a custom claw-shaped zip pull. Can you tell us about the thinking behind that detail? Was it always intended to be part of the design?

A. I loved the challenge of creating a small element with that much detail - it's almost like a clue to what is inside the jacket.

Q. What’s interesting about the jacket is that most of your artwork is hidden on the inside. As a tattoo artist, you’re used to creating work that becomes part of someone’s personal identity. Do you see any connection between that and creating artwork that’s only revealed when someone opens their jacket?

A. I think it’s nice when there is something special that is not always visible to everybody. With tattoos, the artwork is always there, part of the person. With a jacket, you can have this other side that you only see when you open it. I like this idea.

Q. Outside tattooing, you’ve explored painting, printmaking and clothing. Is there anything you’ve always wanted to create but haven’t had the opportunity to try yet?

A. Screen printing is something I tried in the past, and I'd love to explore it in more detail again in the future.

Q.  Finally, what’s next? Any interesting travels, exhibitions or projects coming up that we should know about?

A. 2027 comes with a lot of new projects. I am currently working on an exhibition with Filson in their store in NYC. I am planning a solo show in San Francisco in February. 2027 is going to be a good year! I’m looking forward to working on something new with EDWIN and would love to do something one day with one of my favourite brands, Carhartt.
