ACID Café by Bakumae

Founded in Madrid in 2017, ACID Café began as a coffee shop built on precision and calm energy. By 2021, it evolved into a full bakery concept, and in 2024, expanded to Berlin.

For the collaboration, EDWIN have joined forces with ACID to design an exclusive T-shirt, the kind you’d wear behind the counter but also keep forever. To bring the design to life, we called in Bakumae, the Sapporo-based illustrator known for his surreal, slightly unhinged world of flames, symbols, and spirit energy.

The print brings together Bakumae’s “Eye of Fire” and ACID’s signature pastry: the kardamombullar, locked in a sweet, hypnotic stare. It’s a wink to the café’s personality: precise, warm, and a little strange.

The T-shirt, printed on EDWIN’s heavyweight jersey, blurs the line between uniform and merch, designed to be worn, washed, and lived in. A quiet meeting of two brands that care deeply about the small stuff, but never take themselves too seriously.
