The core of the Made in Japan Collection remains intact for the season ahead, forming a solid foundation for Autumn/Winter 2020 with the addition of a 13.5oz Stretch Selvage, 14oz Rainbow Black Selvage and a selection of premium nep fabrics from Nihon Menpu and Maruwa.
Adding stretch to the Made in Japan Collection, the Regular Tapered is now available in a 13.5oz Rainbow Selvage from the Nihon Menpu Mill based in Ibara, Okayama Prefecture, a town famous around the World for making denim.
Made from Turpan cotton, it is renowned as one of the best in the world due to its long fibres, smooth texture and strong white appearance.
Another interesting newcomer is the 14oz Black Rainbow Selvage, also from Nihon Menpu. Available in Regular Tapered and Loose straight, the dark coal black denim consists of sulphur black yarn in both warp and weft with the appearance of a garment that has been worn for several months. Although it features less whiskering and fading, this garment has the characteristics of natural evolution.
Finally, the Regular Tapered Trouser is available in two nep fabrics including denim from Nihon Menpu and Army Green Back Sateen from the Maruwa Textile Mill that has been around since 1948 in the Nishiwaki region close to Osaka.
